Sydera ForgeFR

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-29

Sydera is a training tool for competitive Fortnite players. This policy explains what data we process, why, with whom, for how long, and how you stay in control. We keep it plain and honest: no hidden collection, no resale.

1. Who is responsible

The Sydera service (sydera.fr) is operated by Mathias PIRAME OULAI EI, sole trader (French micro-entreprise), SIRET 109 096 362 00016, APP 67, 5 rue Charles de Foucauld, 78200 Mantes-la-Jolie, France, who is the controller of your data.

For any question or request about your data: privacy@sydera.fr.

2. Data we process

We only collect what is needed to provide the service. Specifically:

  • Account and sign-in: your email address, used to send you a 6-digit code or a sign-in link (magic-link) and to secure access. No password.
  • Player identity: your Epic username and your Epic account ID.
  • Public competitive statistics: your matches, fights, placements, points, eliminations and ranks (Battle Royale and Reload), fetched via Osirion from public Fortnite data, then cached.
  • What you declare at onboarding: role, goal, formats you play, weekly hours, main weakness, optional free-text fields, availability slots and tournament days.
  • Your sessions, scrims and tournaments: what you do and declare in the app (goals, completed blocks, check-ins such as sleep, energy or tilt, results and recaps).
  • Your clips and content: the videos you upload (stored in a private space) or the external links (Medal/YouTube) you submit, your note ("what you meant to do"), the clip window to analyze, and the related review feedback. You can withdraw a clip from the app.
  • Derived coaching: diagnoses, missions, decision-case answers, in-app notifications, and signals computed from all of the above (your competences, weaknesses, progression snapshots).
  • Subscription and payment: your subscription status, the dates of your paid period, your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, and your age confirmation at payment (15 or older, or a parent's approval). Your card is entered at Stripe: we never see or store its numbers.
  • Effort guarantee and refunds: your request and the data checked to answer it (completed sessions, tournaments played).
  • Technical and usage: strictly necessary session cookies, local browser storage for your preferences (language), usage events (screens viewed, in-app actions, loop steps) measured with PostHog, a recording of your navigation only if you accept it, and operational metadata (technical logs, per-user API cost).

3. Why we process it (purposes)

Legal bases (GDPR): performance of the service and subscription you request (contract), our legal obligations (accounting), your consent where it is asked for, and our legitimate interest in securing and improving the product.

  • Sign you in and secure your account.
  • Build your diagnosis, missions and progression profile from your real data.
  • Manage your subscription, payments, the effort guarantee and refunds.
  • Run and improve the service (reliability, analysis quality, cost control).

4. We do not sell your data

We never sell, rent or trade your personal data. We do not use it for targeted advertising and we do not install third-party advertising trackers.

5. Who receives it (recipients and sub-processors)

To run the service, we rely on a human coach and on technical providers that process data on our behalf, solely to provide you Sydera:

  • The coach who checks your clip reviews: today, the publisher in person. For the Coach review option, a partner coach bound to Sydera by a written contract covering confidentiality and the protection of your data. They see your clip, your note and your Epic username.
  • Supabase — database, authentication and file storage (your account, your clips, your records).
  • Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
  • Stripe — payment and subscription management.
  • Resend — delivery of sign-in, access, subscription confirmation and review-ready emails.
  • PostHog (EU hosting) — app usage measurement, linked to your account ID (never your email or gamertag), and a recording of your navigation if you accept it (what you type stays hidden).
  • Osirion — public Fortnite statistics provider (reading your public stats).
  • Anthropic (Claude) — AI processing to generate your diagnosis from your clips and data.

6. Processing by artificial intelligence

Your clips and competitive data may be analyzed by AI models (including Anthropic Claude) to produce your diagnosis and missions. These outputs are a training aid: they can be wrong and do not constitute professional advice.

7. Transfers outside the EU

Some of our providers may process data outside the European Union (e.g., in the United States). Where that happens, such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses or an equivalent mechanism).

8. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we erase your personal data — including your uploaded clips and competitive records — within 30 days.

If you do not sign in for 2 years, your account is inactive. We warn you by email 30 days before. If you still do not sign in, we then delete your account and your data, as for a deletion request.

Exception: records tied to your payments (invoices, amounts, dates) are kept for as long as our accounting and tax obligations require. Cached Osirion statistics expire based on freshness. Public cup leaderboards follow their own rule (section 14).

9. Your rights

You can at any time request access, rectification, erasure or portability of your data, object to a processing activity, or withdraw your consent. Email privacy@sydera.fr — we answer within one month at most.

If you live in the EU, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL).

10. Minors

Sydera is intended for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you are below the age of digital consent in your country (15 in France), you must obtain a parent's or guardian's approval before using the service. This approval also covers the paid subscription. On the payment page, we ask you to confirm that you are 15 or older, or that you have a parent's approval. Without this confirmation, we do not offer navigation recording. A parent may contact us to have a minor's data deleted.

11. Cookies and local storage

We only use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in (session) and to secure payment. We also store your preferences (language) in your browser. Usage measurement (PostHog) sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser. If you accept navigation recording, PostHog stores a session identifier in your browser; you can refuse with no effect on the service. No advertising cookies.

12. Relationship with Epic Games

Sydera is not affiliated with, associated with, endorsed, or sponsored by Epic Games, Inc. Fortnite is a trademark of Epic Games. We use your Epic account information and public Fortnite data solely to provide you the service, with your authorization. Your Epic account remains governed by Epic Games' terms.

13. Changes

We may update this policy. If a change is material, we will inform you by a reasonable means. The last-updated date is shown at the top of this page.

14. Players who do not use Sydera

To estimate the points needed to qualify, Sydera reads the public leaderboard of finished Fortnite cups. We get it via Osirion, from public Fortnite data. It includes every player in the cup, including those who have no Sydera account.

For each player, we store their Epic username and those of their team, their Epic account ID, their rank, their points, and their placements and eliminations in each game of the cup.

We keep these rows for 30 days after the cup ends. Then, within 2 days, we delete the rows of players who have no Sydera account. The public worldwide PR leaderboard (Power Ranking) is read every week: each reading replaces the previous one, and we delete the rows of players who no longer appear in it.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in giving players reliable benchmarks for qualifying. This data is already public. We use it for nothing else and we do not contact these players.

You play cups without using Sydera? You can object to this processing at any time: write to privacy@sydera.fr with your Epic username.
